Hilti B22 rebuild step by step

A Hilti B22 battery rebuild is more than swapping cells — it's a full service process that ends with testing and a warranty. Below we show what happens to your pack from diagnostics to return, and how long it takes.

The process in 6 steps

  1. Electronics diagnostics — assessment of the cells, BMS, temperature sensor and connections.
  2. Fault repair — BMS, thermistor or contacts, if a problem is found.
  3. Cell replacement — the whole pack is replaced with new cells (Samsung / LG / Sanyo).
  4. Spot-welding and assembly — professional nickel-strip welds inside the original housing.
  5. BMS programming — resetting the counters and calibrating to the new cells.
  6. Final test — capacity measurement and a charge/discharge safety check.

How long it takes

A standard turnaround is 2–5 business days, counted from when the battery reaches the workshop. After the final test, the pack comes back to you with a written 12-month warranty.
